I have read alot about the busa and the 12r but not much comparing the two. I was just trying to get a comparison
between the two: riding postion, handling, power, etc.

Just do a few searches on the Internet.  There have been countless articles and head to head comparisons from dynos to dragstrips to aerodynamics....  Just about every cycle mag has devoted an issue to the "big boys".

Both are big smooth bikes that run so close in every respect that the difference isn't measureable.  The bike of the moment is the ZX10R which is faster then both of them.

Faster? Maybe in the roll-on tests...

Italian magazine test 2005 model year:

                  Zx-12R  Top speed  188.4 mph
                          1/4 mile   10.3 @ 146.1 mph
                          0-62  mph   3.2 sec.
                          0-93  mph   5.0 sec.
                          0-124 mph   7.5 sec.
... stock gear in the 12R is tall 18/46, this will hurt

the top gear roll-on tests. At 80 mph my 12R is a tic under

4500 rpms; even at 100 mph, the 12R is not in the power

zone. Not to bad for a big smooth bike

ZX-10R ('04)  6/04, 10/04  9.92 @ 147.4 .  The ZX10R is faster then the 12 or Busa.

PS:  I owned two 12's and the last one I put 22,000 miles on it.  There is NOTHING like the ZX10R.  The 10 can rip your eyeballs out of their sockets!  It is beyond FAST!!!

Fast and quick are two different things.  Going solely off the 1/4 mile times posted (which obviously are not the "be all end all" to that discussion), the ZX10R is QUICKER in the 1/4 mile.  That doesn't say anything about which one is FASTER though.  Take the speed restrictors off both and I'd put my money on the ZX12R to be the FASTER of the two.

DUH?  Fast or quick?  Do either have anything to do with pre-mature ejackulation?

Yes the zx10r is fast but still isn't as fast as the 'Busa.

CycleWorld June2000 posted Busa 9.86@145.80

Motorcyclist June2000 posted Busa also at 9.86@140.3

Kawasaki still has some homework to do

I think that Kaw has done a excellent job on the ZX10R and for every figure you can quote I can find one that differs.  All of the above mentioned are just excellent machines.
