Sport Rider should do a yearly issue of 600cc and 1000cc bike build-ups (pick best full exhaust, powercommander, air filter, cams, suspension setups) and provide the info to the readers.

Sounds like a good idea but it also sounds hella' resource intensive. There are so many different configurations out there that sorting through them all would be one mother of a job.
Maybe a regular ride feature where SR readers submit photos/details about their built up ride in various categories (600cc, 1000cc, twin, nekkid hooligan, etc)?

OK here is mine.
'04 R6, K&N air filter, BF high mount exhaust, Graves V-Stacks, PCIII with a custom map. 104 RWHP

We are shortly going to test the BMC filter vs the K&N and also add the Graves slide stop kit. Full exhaust is pointless on the street.

But yet you have velocity stacks on a street bike?
No worries mate, just givin' you crap. Nice ride.

Good point, but after I sold the other two V-stacks only cost me $50 as opposed to over $1000 for an Akrapovic full exhaust.
And the V-Stacks brought the power peak up from 12.5k to 13.2 and the bike holds over 100 HP until 14.3, instead of dropping off at 13k like it used to.
BTW thanks for the compliment.

I would buy that month for sure. Car magazines do it all the time and so do some of the dirtbike mags' I read. Just some simple build-ups could be used to test for reader feedback. I understand it would be involved but it could be spread out through a couple issues which would also keep us, the readers, coming back for more. I have issues where they did exhaust and chip on a Ducati 999s and Aprilia RSV but those were factory pieces. Still great information but how about a build up on a GSX-R 750 or a RC51 w/sato exhaust tuned by Dan Kyle or full Erion parts to show the increase in power and rideability.

They're coming, we've got a couple of things on the go right now. As TEvo said though, it takes a lot of time and resources to do projects like that right.

Glad to see projects are on the go and your taking the time to do it right! When these stories come out are you doing before and after specs...0-60, 1/4 mile, braking, track times, etc. Not a specs junkie just good to have along with rider feedback on rideability and dyno graphs. Keep up the good work!
