Me and 2 of my room mates are planning on road tripin it to Cali for the big race weekend in July. Just curious if any of you have been to the track ever. And if so does a General Admission Ticket allow you to get very close. In other words can you get a good view of the "cork screw" can you get close to the track or down to the pits ever or is that space reserved for the highrollers only. oh and to Trevitt are you guys going to have anything set up at the track?? I gotta tell ya we're are pretty stoked to be going to our first motorcycle race and even more pumped about the fact that we get to see both ama and moto gp. we're huge fans, always got the Tivo set for speed on sunday.

In the past, a general admission ticket has been good to get to the corkscrew and other good viewing areas. Given the layout of the track I think it will be that way for the GP as well. You'll need something extra to get into the paddock or pits though, for sure.

I'm not sure if we've got anything going on or not. We've done seminars before, if we do something like that again I'll post the times up here.

Thanks for the reply. It would be cool to get down into the paddoc etc., but i'm sure we will enjoy ourselves none the less. I feel like alreay know the track so well from watching races and planying GT3 and GT4 on PS2. I can't wait to experience it in person. I'f you guys do, do something there I'm sure we'll be buy to say hi.

Hopefully I will also be making that trip up north for the races.....I just ran across a good site. its motogp .com ....and whats cool about this site is ......you get to watch every grand prix race from start to finish ......I just got done watching Spain , Portugal and the Chine GP .......Its kinda cool seeing 150 thousand at the Spain Grand Prix ....Of course Rosi rules and Hayden is  not doing  to bad .

I was watching the Sport rider project bike for sale  on "e-bay" ......For 67 hundred .....it was a good sale ......

But I'm affriad my 86 gsx-r was a better deal ....hehehehe
Maybe I will post some pics if this new forum allows it !

Keep the sunny side up !

Your a lucky man!  I wish I had the funds to make it out to Cali to watch the best in America and the best in the World.  Enjoy the bikes, racing, smells, sounds, and oh yeah...pit girls!  Have fun and be safe.

A GA ticket will certainly allow you to see a good portion of the track.  If you take a walk up the hill to the Corkscrew, you can actually be within about 100 feet, give or take, of the action.  Access to the pits requires the purchase of a pit pass which are sold out.  You may, however, be able to locate some from a ticket broker or even eBay.
