Wearing out left toe sliders.

Can anyone help me out?  I am touching my left toe slider before touching my knee.  It is not slowing down my corner speeds, but causes an adjustment just after entry.  I have tried tucking my toe in. I also try resting it above brake.  Will take any suggestion.

Are you on the balls of your feet? (you should be)

I am on the balls of my feet, and trying to tuck my toes in.  I am using vortex rearsets on an SP-1.  (Not adjustable)  They seem high enough, but not sure if maybe should go ahead and swap for adjustable.

Have you got the front and rear preloads on the supension cranked up? If so then you might need to respring the bike. Helped with my BOP(big old pig)2001 Triumph Sprint RS 955i when I still had it. I had the same problem, but I was getting my knee down. Are you hanging off the bike correctly? Just ideas.

I've got the front preload cranked down some.  Maybe I should respring for my weight?  I think I am hanging off correctly, I am able to get my knee down but just before my slider is scraping and causing that quick unsettling feeling.  The tighter the turn the quicker it touches, but still touching on quicker sweepers.

What bike are we talking about? Before I resprung the Triumph I had both the front and rear preloads cranked all the way in. The preload set up correctly on a street bike should have between 35mm to 40mm sag both front and rear. How much do you weigh? (yes this is a personal question, but it makes a big diffrence in the setup.)Some small displacement bikes are set up for 165lb. riders. If you tend to (like me) go big, like 210 or so, you will be highly undersprung. Check out this site, great help for me, with downloadable PDF files for all your setup needs. http://www.feelthetrack.com/ I tried to link it, but I can't do it, just copy and paste.
The Sport Rider suspension setup page is pretty good also.
