Hello all and thanks in advance.
I need some opinons on a purchase of a new/used bike.
I've been lusting for an RC51 since 2000 and am about to make the plunge but I have some reservations.
I realize the bike won't be as commfy as my vtr or my first bike ('91 CBRF2) but is it any worse than the 03-06, R1, zx10, or CBR1K???
The bike will be my only bike and primarily used on the street/twisties with hopefully the occasional track day. I'm 6'4" 225 and not as young as I used to be.
I loved the torque and sound from the twin in my 99 superhawk, before it was stolen from me, and would prefer a twin (triple??) but I definitely want more power.
I've pretty much got it narrowed down to
- 07 1098 - 03-06 RC51 - 05-06 CBR1K - 04-06 R1 - 05-06 ZX-10 - 07 Daytona 675
Which would you choose & why?(price dependent and independent)
Again thanks in advance.

If you get a chance you mentioned a triple? Go take a test ride on the Triumph Daytona 675. You won't be unhappy. If you can, do a couple of other brands the same day if possible. If I could afford a 675 for track days tomorrow I would have one. But the bike I rode was great in the vibration, shifting, and handeling departments. So road rides are great to. You get that engine braking and torque of a twin, which is what your looking for I think. As a side note the suspension sprung for about a 205lb. guy. Which will be closer to what you need. Check it out. BIKE magazines bike of the year. There's a reason why.

Briflight thanks for the info and actually responding. I stoped in to look at the 675 at my local dealer and it's def a looker but the OTD door price was $10.5K! For that kind of money I'd save for the 1098.
I decided to go ahead and bid on and won a low mileage 03 rc for $6600 off ebay. Picked it up and it's cherry! I'm extrrreeemly happy. But I will keep my eye out for a used 675 in the next couple of years.
